Akram Alashari, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained trauma surgeon who practices at Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton and specializes in surgical critical care. Jason R. Woloski, M.D., is a board- certified physician who specializes in family medicine and practices at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre− Community Medicine. Melaina Benscoter has been named as a full- time faculty member at Lackawanna College, where she served as an adjunct instructor since 2016 in business and accounting. Tod Kania has been hired as an IT application support specialist at Lackawanna College. Erik Larson has been named the assistant athletic director at Lackawanna College. He has served as an athletic director and athletic trainer since August 2004. Timur Maskayev has been named full-time faculty at Lackawanna College, where he served as an adjunct instructor since 2018 in American history and effective speaking. Brian Frank, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained general surgeon who practices at Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) and subspecializes in trauma and surgical critical care. Kristin Simmons, M.D., is a board- certified physician who specializes in family medicine and practices at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre− Community Medicine. Jennifer Mercereau has been hired as an Enrollment Specialist for the Lackawanna College Lake Region Center. Amylyn Ostroski has been named as a full- time faculty member at Lackawanna College in Scranton, where she served as an adjunct instructor since 2016 in Criminal Justice, Public Administration and Social Science.
