Some of the most satisfying
experiences that occur in
the Chamber world involve
the different ways we can
help our members – such
as networking to expand
your business connections,
leadership training and
educational sessions on
business matters, government
advocacy on individual and
broad public policy issues; small business lending, identifying
building and site locations, and many more.
The challenge is fi nding appropriate ways to tell others
about those successes, not from the standpoint of self-
aggrandizing, but rather to spread the word to others on
how they can also benefi t from their Chamber membership.
In this month’s edition we are introducing
#TheChamberCanHelp. This awareness initiative will provide
a platform for our members to tell their stories of how
their Chamber relationship benefi tted their businesses in
very specifi c ways. Using this tagline, members will get a
chance to tell their stories – in simple vignettes -- that will
alert others to the services our staff and volunteers can
bring to their operations. At the same time, the campaign
will promote the participating businesses to the more than
1,400 Chamber members (and thousands of contacts) in our
network. It’s a win-win for everyone!
I want to encourage all of our members to participate in
#TheChamberCanHelp as we tell our collective stories,
promote our local businesses, and celebrate success in a very
public way, because it ain’t bragging… if it’s true!
