“We are so pleased to have this outstanding team of healthcare providers join our
CH family,” said CH CEO Dr. Emil DiIorio. “Through the years they have built a great
reputation and they share our passion for patient-centered care. Together we will
bring an even higher level of healthcare to Lackawanna County.”
Coordinated Health is based in the Greater Lehigh Valley, but it is not new
to the Northeastern Pennsylvania market. The company currently operates
campuses in Hazleton and Pittston, with construction underway for a campus at
Humboldt Station, an industrial park in Luzerne County. The affiliation with SOS
will enable Coordinated Health to extend its successful model of coordinated
care to the residents of the greater Scranton area. SOS employs the largest
number of orthopedic physicians in the region, with 10 orthopedic surgeons, one
rheumatologist and one podiatrist supported by 120 employees.
“We are excited about joining forces with Coordinated Health and look forward to
combining our expertise as we develop future plans for growth that will benefit our
patients and Lackawanna County,” said CHSO President Dr. Chris Metzger.
