WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS?
My father was a dentist and business owner in Scranton as I was
growing up. I inherited his love for dentistry and helping people.
Following in his footsteps and opening my own practice just felt
natural to me.

Working Together
In this month’s message, I would like to recognize
a group of leaders for their foresight and political
courage. Elected offi cials in Archbald, Jesup,
Scranton, Scott, and Covington townships; school
boards for Lakeland, North Pocono, Scranton, and
Valley View school districts; and the Lackawanna
County Commissioners all took actions in this past
year to promote economic development through
approval of tax abatements under a Pennsylvania-
based program known as Local Economic
Revitalization Tax Assistance (LERTA), which provides
short-term exemptions of taxes on property
improvements.
It may seem counterproductive to forego potential
tax revenue with so many governmental entities
struggling to make ends meet. History has shown
that such incentives can encourage businesses and
individuals to purchase land, improve properties, and
construct new facilities – creating jobs and, in the
long run, expanding the tax bases of participating
government entities.
These offi cials recognized that investing in the future
is good public policy that will benefi t the citizens of
this region for years to come.
My favorite part of my practice is the fact that it is in my
hometown. I have the honor to treat people who helped me
become the person I am today. I am very fortunate to have
been able to make and keep so many new friends because I
decided to open my practice close to home.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN THE CHAMBER?
I joined the Chamber because I am optimistic about the
direction in which I believe Scranton is moving. I am excited
to be able to participate in this movement by building a new
facility in Scranton in order to provide my existing patients and
future patients with the highest standard of care. I believe that
working with the Chamber can truly aid in keeping our city’s
residents from looking outside of the area for top-notch care.
