“Simplify” Your Life SIMPLIFY NEPA SEEKS TO REDUCE CLIENTS’ STRESS BY REDUCING CLUTTER For some people, tackling clutter in their home or office is enough to send them into panic. Rising to that challenge is something on which Judy Youshock, owner of Simplify NEPA, stakes her business’s reputation. Ms. Youshock founded Simplify NEPA in 2018 after switching from a 30-year career in property management. While in her previous career, she noticed how people’s every day obligations made cleaning and organizing fall by the wayside and become overwhelming and wondered how she could use her experience to help. “There are many causes for clutter,” she said. “Most people are just too busy or have special conditions that lead to overwhelming clutter. Cleaning and decluttering are a regular chore that homeowners have to keep up with, but if someone doesn’t have the time, we can help.” 4 • The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce Simplify NEPA offers deep cleaning, weekly or bi-weekly office or residential cleaning, decluttering, organizing, contractor cleanup, event or party setup and cleanup, rental cleaning and estate/real estate cleaning. Ms. Youshock offers free consultations to clients, as well as free declutter challenges throughout the year and specialized tips on her website and social media sites. “If you are feeling overwhelmed with your clutter, the first step is to start small,” she said. “Take one closet, drawer or section of a room at a time. Have three boxes labeled ‘donate,’ ‘sell,’ and ‘move to another room,’ as well as a trash bag. Once you finish the area, immediately put the ‘donate’ items in your vehicle to take to a donation center, move items that don’t belong to their proper place, throw out the trash and list the items for sale before you move on to another area.”
