AllOne Charities Presents Grant to Catholic Social Services AllOne Charities recently awarded a $10,000 grant to Catholic Social Services. This grant launched Primary Care Pathfinders, a Catholic Social Services pilot program that matches homeless clients one-on-one with a navigator whose role is to ensure that important service connections within the community are made and urgently needed medical treatment is received. United Cerebral Palsy of NEPA Hosts Holiday Gift Wrap Fundraiser United Cerebral Palsy of NEPA raised more than $12,000 this holiday season through its annual Holiday Gift Wrapping stand at the Viewmont Mall. More than 200 volunteers assisted with the gift wrapping, which will benefit the organization’s Early Intervention services that provide therapy and education support to infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays. Coordinated Health Breaks Ground On Hospital in Dickson City Together with more than 20 Lackawanna County community leaders and elected officials, Coordinated Health (CH) celebrated the ground breaking of its Coordinated Health Scranton Hospital in Dickson City. The hospital will be the first inpatient surgical facility to open in the region since 2014. The new facility will expand the campus at 334 Main Street with an additional 78,000 square feet, adjacent to its existing 36,000 square foot medical office building. The integrated campus will offer orthopedic surgery, general surgery, women’s health, podiatry, physiatry, plastic surgery, imaging and a non-trauma emergency room, and the hospital will have 24 private inpatient rooms. Coordinated Health is based in the Greater Lehigh Valley, but it is not new to the Northeastern Pennsylvania market. In addition to Dickson City, the company operates campuses in Hazleton and Pittston, with construction underway for a medical campus at Humboldt Station, an industrial park in Luzerne County. The company’s hospitals in Allentown and Bethlehem consistently earn top ratings for high quality outcomes in patient care, including recognition from Healthgrades in Patient Safety Excellence, Outstanding Patient Experience and five-star surgical care. Wells Fargo Presents Grant to Lackawanna College Environmental Education Center Representatives from Wells Fargo recently presented Lackawanna College with a $1,000 grant to support their Environmental Education Center’s K-12 programs. The center provides educational opportunities for children and teenagers on a variety of environmental and conservation topics.
