A Helping Hand CC Cleaning seeks to help cancer patients
For Cassidy Miller , owner of CC Cleaning in Dunmore , the best part about owning her own business is that it allows her to give back .
CC Cleaning is a participant in Cleaning for a Reason , a non-profit organization whose mission it is to give the gift of free house cleaning to women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer . CC Cleaning services all of Lackawanna County and it is Ms . Miller ’ s hope to be able to assist as many women as possible through the program .
“ One of our staff members won her battle with breast cancer in recent years ,” she said . “ Fighting cancer is hard enough — our goal is to make life easier for those undergoing cancer treatments . These women need to focus on their health and families , not on cleaning their homes .”
Cancer patients can visit Cleaning for a Reason ’ s website at www . cleaningforareason . org and apply for donated house cleanings .
A physician ’ s note is needed to confirm treatment and upon receipt of that note , CC Cleaning will reach out to schedule a first cleaning .
“ Responsible businesses look for ways to reach out to their communities ,” Ms . Miller said . “ We are committed to being a leader in our industry by doing our part and we are always excited to give back to our community and help those in need of assistance .”
