CHAMBER NEWS Leadership Lackawanna Program Coordinator Named The Chamber hosted a Member Welcome Breakfast and a Member Welcome Lunch. The Chamber hosted a Member Welcome breakfast and a Member Welcome Lunch. The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee conducted a forum on the state’s proposed overtime regulation. Dominick Mitchell has been named the program coordinator for Leadership Lackawanna. He is responsible for Leadership Lackawanna’s 10-month Core program and Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, as well as the organization’s marketing objectives and volunteer cultivation and recruitment. He is a 2019 graduate of West Chester University, where he majored in marketing and minored in finance. He is also a 2015 graduate of Abington Heights High School and a 2014 graduate of Tomorrow’s Leaders Today. The Chamber helped celebrate the grand opening of Signature Boxing in Scranton. The Chamber wishes to express its condolences to the family of John E. “Jack” Roth, who was the board chair from 1989-1991. He was also the president of the board of directors of MetroAction from 1985-1987. The Chamber helped celebrate the grand opening of the new Patient Logistics Center at Commonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services. The Chamber helped Friendship House celebrate the grand opening of its new location in Mayfield. The Chamber helped celebrate the grand opening of The Pink Pedal in Scranton. 4 • The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce Members of the SLIBCO strategic planning committee, plus invited guests from Skills in Scranton, the Workforce Development Board, and area colleges and universities, met with Eileen Cipriani, deputy secretary for workforce development of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Nancy Dischinat, executive director of Workforce Board Lehigh Valley. The Chamber helped celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
