The Executive Program assists professionals in becoming
more engaged in the community, broadens their social
network and increases their overall knowledge of the
Greater Scranton region.
Participants met key business and community leaders as
they received overviews of Lackawanna County’s history
and culture, economic and political structures, community
events, civic groups, recreational activities and non-profi t
organizations. Sessions were held one evening per week
for fi ve weeks at various locations.
Leadership Lackawanna Receives Scranton Area
Community Foundation Grant
Leadership Lackawanna, the region’s premier community leadership and
professional development organization, recently received a Scranton Area
Community Foundation Community Needs Grant in the amount of $2,000.
Leadership Lackawanna will use this grant to offset the costs associated with its
new strategic plan.
The Scranton Area Community Foundation makes grants to foster good ideas which
have the potential to strengthen our community and enrich the lives of the people
of Scranton and Lackawanna County. These grants fund a wide range of non-profi t
programs that respond to a particular community need or issue and must enhance
the quality of life in Lackawanna County.
