MESSAGE
Your Voice is
Heard
One of the most important roles of The Chamber
is to serve as a voice for business in matters
of public policy. Effective communications in
that regard begins with building relationships
with offi cials at the federal, state, county and
municipal levels.
In the past few months, volunteer leaders and
staff have met with our elected offi cials and their
key staff members on issues involving economic
and workforce development, education,
transportation, small business promotion and tax
policy – just to name a few.
With change comes opportunity, and your
Chamber and its leadership remains steadfast
in its commitment to making sure your voice is
heard by our elected offi cials.

With the election of new leadership in
Lackawanna County, the City of Scranton, and
boroughs, townships and school districts across
the region – and with so many important ideas
and initiatives on our business agenda, it looks
like 2020 will be another very busy year.
