Janet Tomcavage,
MSN, RN, has
assumed the role
of Chief Nursing
Executive at
Geisinger. Since
2014, Tomcavage
has served as
Geisinger’s chief
population officer,
focusing on driving the transformation
of how Geisinger delivers care.
Tomcavage earned her bachelor’s
degree in nursing from Bloomsburg
State University and her master’s
degree in nursing from Misericordia
University. She was the first Geisinger
nurse to receive the Pennsylvania
Nightingale Award for clinical
excellence in an advanced nursing role.
Tasneem Khan,
MD has joined The
Wright Center for
Community Health
as a psychiatrist and
associate program
director for The
Wright Center for
Graduate Medical Education’s Psychiatry
Residency. Dr. Khan has been practicing
for more than 20 years.
Shane Cobert-
Fuller joined The
Wright Center for
Community Health
and will serve as
practice manager of
the organization’s
new 501 South
Washington Avenue, Scranton, location.
He will oversee operations to provide
integrated primary care, behavioral
health, infectious disease and dental
services for children and adults.
Commonwealth
Health has
appointed Michael
L. Brown as chief
executive officer
of Moses Taylor
Hospital and
Regional Hospital
of Scranton. He is
a veteran of the
U.S. Air Force, where he achieved the
rank of Sergeant as a law enforcement
specialist. Following military service,
he worked as a professional firefighter/
paramedic before he earned his
bachelor’s degree in nursing with
honors and an MBA in organizational
leadership/management from Franklin
University in Columbus, Ohio. He also
has an associate’s degree in emergency
medical services and fire sciences from
Columbus Technical Institute.
