President and Chief Executive Officer of Johnson College Announces Retirement
Dr . Ann L . Pipinski , president and chief executive officer of Johnson College , recently announced her retirement , whichh will be effective June 30 , 2018 . Dr . Pipinski was appointed president and chief executive officer of Johnson College in 2003 . She served as acting president of the College from August 2002 and previously as vice president of Continuing Education since 1989 . She has been with the College for more than 27 years .
Mary Carol Hanis , Vice President of Retail Banking at The Dime Bank , recently graduated from the inaugural 2016-17 class of the Pennsylvania Bankers Leadership Institute , an initiative of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association . Ms . Hanis has served the banking industry since 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Scranton and has previously completed the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Central Advanced School of Banking .
Dr . Pipinski is also active in regional economic development activities , including the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce , serving as a member of the Board of Directors . She currently serves on the Chamber ’ s Executive Committee as vice president and is on the board of the Lackawanna Industrial Fund Enterprises ( LIFE ).
AAA Honors Employees for Years of Service
A group of AAA North Penn employees was recently honored for their years of service with the company , which ranged from five to 45 years .
Joseph Corcoran was recently named executive director of the Lackawanna Heritage Valley , replacing Natalie Gelb , who retired from the organization after a tenure of 13 years . www . scrantonchamber . com • 9
