ANCHOR POINT IS CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF GIVING FAMILIES HOPE
It was 2008 when the idea of Anchor Point was first conceived . First two women , then two couples had a dream to give families HOPE ! It would be nearly three more years before the doors to Anchor Point would open . That was June 13th , 2011 . Since then , this idea to champion the future of children through empowerment and education of their parents has become more than a dream it is a reality for thousands of local families . Moms and dads have walked through our doors sometimes desperate for help , void of hope and frozen with fear of the future , but they leave filled with Hope ! Here ’ s how Anchor Point offers Hope every day … Excellent Minds Academy joined the Anchor
Point family network of services in 2016 .
Our specialized trauma-informed private school is structured to assist those children with difficult backgrounds , learning challenges , behavioral issues , sensory issues , high functioning autism , and more . Each child deserves an Excellent education , and this is exactly what they experience at Excellent Minds Academy .
In 2020 , Anchor Point ’ s original location in League City and it ’ s Family Counseling Center in Seabrook merged and rebranded , both are now the Hope Family Center .
Today ’ s families face many challenging issues . From the moment of pregnancy through those teenage years into adulthood . We know that parenting is not without its obstacles and for some these have an enormous impact on each person , threatening the family as a whole . The Hope Family Center provides a blueprint for individuals and families to tackle and overcome challenges . HFC Offers licensed family & marriage counseling , therapeutic family camps , fatherhood initiatives , prenatal and parenting classes , adoption workshops , recovery groups for sexual abuse survivors and post-abortive women- material assistance with diapers , wipes formula , clothing , and more for babies & toddlers up to 3yrs and adoptive families for the first two years ’, mentorship , and earn-to-learn opportunities .
In 2019 , Anchor Point opened Obria Medical Clinic in League City . Obria is devoted to taking care of you holistically and is dedicated to the highest standard of medical care in a comforting , supportive atmosphere .
Our board-certified OB / GYN physician medical director , nurse practitioner , medical assistants and support staff are highly trained and dedicated to meeting your health care needs . We are here to offer you a safe place to ask questions and get answers . Obria Medical Clinics are fully licensed community care clinics providing professional medical consultations , wellwoman care , pregnancy testing , ultrasounds , STD testing and treatment and prenatal care , health education , and referrals . We provide the support and answers you need regarding your sexual health . Your health and well-being are important to everyone at Obria Medical Clinics .
Hope House , Anchor Point ’ s newest venture , is a maternity home with a bigger vision in mind . Hope House is committed to providing a safe , supportive , residence for homeless young pregnant women . Through our 18-month housing program , we offer residents subsidized housing while giving them the respite and resources needed to move towards a better life for themselves and their child .
