TAKE THE LEAGUE CITY PROTECTION PLEDGE As League City begins to reopen businesses and citizens return to their workplaces and normal daily activities, we must all remain vigilant to protect the health and safety of our community from the impacts of COVID-19. The virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to others by infected persons who have few or no symptoms. Because of the hidden nature of this threat, League City is asking all residents and businesses to pledge their commitment to do their part to protect everyone in our City, including the elderly and those who are most vulnerable. Workplace Protection Pledge Businesses that have reopened or are preparing to reopen are encouraged to request a “Reopening Toolkit” from the League City Emergency Turnaround Taskforce. The toolkit contains state and county guidelines for reopening specific to each type of business, useful resources, and the “League City Workplace Protection Pledge.” Businesses can sign and display the pledge at their establishment. Citizen Protection Pledge League City residents are encouraged to take the “League City Citizen Protection Pledge” to demonstrate their commitment to protecting themselves, their neighbors, and the entire League City community. By taking the pledge, residents promise to do their best to follow the latest health and safety guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19. Residents can share their commitment with others by displaying photos on social media and by replacing their profile pictures with a special badge. For more information on how you can participate and take the pledge, and to download posters and other materials, visit www.leaguecity.com/pledge. JULY 2020 23
