MARKETING Using VIDEO To ATTRACT CUSTOMERS To Your BUSINESS OR WEBSITE 32 MOMENTUM RACHAEL MORGEN Online Marketing Manager Empire Creative Marketing www.empiread.com Video is the ultimate tool to combine with other marketing channels to attract customers to your business or website. Video marketing maximizes your reach and builds your brand. Personalized video and photography help strengthen your visual brand identity in a way that is authentic to your business. People love video! Scroll through your Facebook feed or search Google for any topic and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a post without a video or photo. And chances are you will find at least one video included in the links at the top of the search engine results page. Why should you use video in your marketing? • Video is an engaging way to educate buyers on products, announcements, and customer service. • Buyer habits have evolved. Including video on your site can increase conversions by 72% or more. • SEO. Google owns Youtube, so posting videos will also increase your search engine rankings. • You can capture your audience on mobile devices, and literally have them in the palm of your hand! Here are four key tips for creating traffic-driving videos: Tip #1. Get to the point. Remember, attention spans are short. These days, clients want to search for your product and quickly see how it will resolve their issue. We’ve noticed that YouTube videos around 2-3 minutes long get the best engagement. However, on Facebook and Instagram, they need to be even shorter. Tip #2: Call to Action. Throughout your video, make sure to let people know how to contact you. This could be through your website, phone, text message, or by leaving a comment. Then, always end with a call to action that encourages your viewers to learn more and reach out. When possible, use on-screen text or graphics to highlight your contact information. Tip #3: Add captions. This allows people who are watching on mute to still follow along. When social media auto-plays your video, it will start without sound. You still want to be able to get your message across, even if the video is muted. Tip #4: Blast your video out everywhere! Social media, email, website, blogs... anywhere you can let people know about your new video. Remember... make sure you respond promptly when someone leaves a comment or asks a question! The most important thing about sharing is creating engagement with your potential customers. It’s the same as opening up a face to face conversation. So what’s the big deal with video? PEOPLE LOVE THEM! Audio and written content can’t provide your customers with the branded experience that video can. People love to be informed in a way that captures their senses. There’s nothing more powerful than a video that educates your prospects about your products or services while entertaining them and appealing to their emotions.
