MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT / CEO
Dear Chamber family ,
With a new year upon us , I can safely say that 2020 has been a year with both its obstacles and successes .
When this year started , your League City Regional Chamber of Commerce proclaimed 2020 “ The Year of Small Business .”
While COVID-19 has dealt a devastating blow to the business world ( and the world as a whole ), 2020 proved just how much it was indeed The Year of Small Business . Your League City Regional Chamber , in partnership with local city officials , have been able to showcase our local businesses and chamber members in unique ways . Through the power of social media , your chamber has been able to help our member businesses stand out during these challenging times . We are partnering with the city for their Shop Small campaign to encourage everyone to shop local this holiday season .
Earlier this fall , your chamber launched its Response Recovery Resilience campaign , in which we worked to provide workshops and webinars that would help businesses recover from the economic disparity that COVID-19 has caused . I applaud our fellow businesses and members for the response , recovery and resilience that has shined through during these trying times .
My chamber staff and I are so grateful for all the businesses that have joined the chamber this year and for the others that renewed their membership with us . We are here for you and to have so many amazing businesses support us is absolutely a dream come true . We have gained over 100 new businesses this year and again you have proven that we are “ Stronger Together ”.
I want to wish our chamber family and our League City community a safe and happy holiday season as we bid farewell to 2020 and celebrate the possibilities of 2021 !
