Establishing RELATIONSHIP WITH SELF

Relationships had been a massive topic for

debate , and there is a lot of help available in person and online . Invariably , when the word relationship comes into our mind , the first thing that comes is the things we want in another person . Many advances have been made in the process of finding a commonality between two or more .
Although advanced technology has made communication better outwardly , I am not sure it has helped communicate oneself within , if not wholly misaligned . Have we looked at the launching pad before constructing the rocket ? Have we examined the fertility of the land before plowing ? Have we settled our minds before we can sow the seed of our subtle intentions ? Let ’ s explore it together .
Questions to ask oneself before we plant the seeds of subtle intentions : 1 . Anxiety : Unless clinical attention is required , if we are anxious about everything and anything all the time , it is calling for awareness to know oneself better .
2 . Dependency : Am I dependent on others and external agents and stimulants ? It is a sign of potentially running away from reality .
3 . Conditioning : Am I taking actions based on my past experiences , or am I taking courageous decisions to feel vulnerable and stand for my purpose ?
4 . Lifestyle : Do I have a healthy lifestyle where mind and body are active and nourished adequately to carry out my goals ?
5 . Awareness : Am I spending time with myself observing my thoughts and tendencies for at
least 10 minutes a day ?
The above points seem romantic but are very reasonable and can be achieved with increasing awareness . Let ’ s look at the steps we can take to complete better communication with oneself .
Actions :
1 . List of distractions : It is a critical step to make a list of daily activities that waste time , draining energy , triggering past memories . Observe these experiences without naming them , so they do not strengthen the past memories and go beyond the distractors .
2 . Self-dependency : Unless we like our company , no one will like our company . We must find ways to enjoy our own company and then we can share with others .
3 . Vulnerability : Being vulnerable brings the courage to open oneself to new possibilities . We must try new things that we have not done before at all . The field of the unknown is filled with a lot of infinite possibilities .
4 . Dealing with Past : Understanding we cannot erase the past ; we can only change our awareness . Learning to embrace it and move forward is the only way out . 5 . Awareness : Improving awareness through meditation is the most critical step towards connecting with the deeper self . Bringing it all together : Asking ourselves essential questions about our anxieties , past , vulnerabilities , improving lifestyle , and exploring options based on awareness can open endless possibilities to improve our daily experiences beyond the mind-body construct . When we follow these simple steps before planting the seeds , knowing the self is ready to sow endless new possibilities with oneself and others .
