Finish off your luncheon or tea party with a light dessert, like a bundt cake topped
with lemon curd or whipped cream.
Bundt Cake
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup butter or margarine
(I always use butter)
• 5 eggs
• 1 tablespoon flavoring
(1 teaspoon each: vanilla, almond
lemon, if desired)
Directions:
Have ingredients at room temperature. This is most important to
the success of the cake. Combine all ingredients in mixer bowl, beat
until smooth, about 10 minutes. Pour into a well-greased bundt pan
(even grease Teflon coated pan). Bake in preheated 325 degree oven
for 1 hour or slightly longer if needed, until cake tests done. Cool on
a wire rack.
