SUMMER IS HERE – Time
to Freshen up your
Membership Listing
I
n order to maximize your membership and
investment in the League City Regional
Chamber of Commerce, let’s talk about
completing your profile on ChamberMaster.
Here is the WHY, WHEN, and HOW.
WHY – I am sure it is obvious, but the Chamber
completely supports you in making the most of your
membership and of the tools given. ChamberMaster
is our CRM (Customer Relation Management) system
and, like most software, you can use some of the
features or delve into it further to get the most from
it. The more you complete your profile and listing, the
easier prospective customers or clients will find you.
Keeping your information up-to-date and fresh helps
your SEO, too.
WHEN – You could make those updates now.
Maybe that is impractical in this moment but
consider setting some time aside this week to
do so. Pencil it in on your to-do list or put it as
an appointment on your digital calendar but
I challenge you to accomplish this within a
week. We are here in the Chamber office to
help if you get stuck.
HOW – Below are some of the many
ways to help fill out and fill in your
information. Are you lost? Email me and
we’ll take time on the phone or in person to
work together and carry out this task.
First, go to our website www.
leaguecitychamber.com and login with your
email address in the upper right-hand corner.
Don’t know your password? Click on the Forgot
your username/password link.
Once you have done so, and have hit SUBMIT,
you will be taken to your “dashboard” from where
you can navigate anywhere. TIP: You always have that
HOME button to take you back to this screen. Use it
when you get into different “layers” of the page in
order to find your way back.

Clicking on COMPANY INFORMATION (A) will take
you to an area where you can update contact details
and other important items in your listing. Depending
on your position with the company, you will be able to
add information and correct it. Primary representatives
have the most “clearance” or permissions to modify,
deactivate, or add.
In past communications, we have talked about HOT
DEALS (B) and JOB POSTINGS (C). Both are free of
charge for our members. Keep these in mind if you
have an open position at work or a special offer from
your business. If you click on either, you will find a list
of those who have submitted theirs, and a button to
ADD JOB POSTING or ADD HOT DEAL. MEMBER TO
MEMBER (D) is an area similar to an intranet within the
Chamber site. Here you can post event links and more.
Going back to the HOME button and proceeding
to COMPANY INFORMATION > WEBSITE
INFORMATION will take you to an area
we hope you will complete. Be sure a
description of your business is here and
you can also add your SOCIAL MEDIA
(E) URLs here.
Scroll all the way down to
KEYWORDS (F). Contemplate for a
minute: what would a prospective
member type in to search for a
solution that you offer. For example,
if you are an auto body shop, one
might be search for keywords such
as: dent, dents, fender, scratches, paint,
damage, etc. I always suggest you also
include your first and last name since you
may have met a fellow member and they only
remember your first name and the type of
business you are in. This will bring them right
to you.
We hope this helps maximize the visibility
of your business!
