Organizations are taking a long look at declining customer
service satisfaction, declining sales and high turn-over rates
and spending countless hours analyzing data. The road
continues to lead back to leadership development or the
lack thereof.
According to a recent Fortune survey, only seven percent of
CEO’s believe their companies are building effective
leaders. Only ten percent of those CEO’s surveyed believed
their leadership initiatives are having a clear business
impact. Of the 500 CEO’s surveyed, only eleven percent
believed their leadership initiatives are having lasting results
in desired improvements.
Studies point out that a varied approach to leadership and
inconsistent value driven training results in less than desired
results. However, there are four main qualities of leadership
training that the 500 CEO’s agreed lead to proven results.

1) Focus on changing the behavior that really matters and
align new behavior to strategies and goals
2) Ensure a sufficient reach of training across the entire
organization
3) Invest in a program that ensures the transfer of leadership
skills and the continued transfer of learning.
4) Take the desired leadership qualities and systematically
reinforce those values across the organization
