Where do we go from here? Over the past year, the City of League City has been working with various engineering firms and stakeholders to study drainage issues in the neighborhoods and subdivisions that flooded during Hurricane Harvey. In addition, a regional solution is needed to lower the water surface elevation along Clear Creek and Dickinson Bayou during flooding events. Join us for a town hall meeting to learn more about the City’s next steps. City administrators will address various topics such as: •What drainage/flooding problem areas can be mitigated? •What is the total cost? •How can the City fund or seek funding for flood mitigation projects? •How will the City prioritize flood mitigation projects? •What projects are already underway? •How can the City be involved in a regional solution to eliminate elevated water levels along Clear Creek and Dickinson Bayou during extreme weather? •How will new and proposed design standards, FEMA maps, and flood insurance rate maps impact existing and new developments in League City?
