Villarreal will focus on working with existing clients and prospecting new clients in the Galveston County area – particularly faculty , staff and students of Texas A & M University at Galveston , the University of Texas Medical Branch and the University of Texas ’ MD Anderson Cancer Center , the latter of which announced in January 2017 the elimination of approximately 1,000 faculty and staff positions via layoffs , retirement and attrition . 1,2
