HilltopSecurities’ Wealth Management branch in League City, TX recently welcomed Rolando Villarreal as their Business Development and Client Service Associate.
Villarreal will focus on working with existing clients and prospecting new clients in the Galveston County area – particularly faculty, staff and students of Texas A & M University at Galveston, the University of Texas Medical Branch and the University of Texas’ MD Anderson Cancer Center, the latter of which announced in January 2017 the elimination of approximately 1,000 faculty and staff positions via layoffs, retirement and attrition. 1,2
“ The need for personal, reliable financial advice is often overlooked by professionals in higher-education,” said HilltopSecurities Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor Don Burrows Jr.“ However, as we can see with the recent layoffs, developing a sound investment and retirement plan is essential. Rolando is a consummate business professional with deep roots in the region, and we are excited to see where he’ ll take us in continuing to serve the region’ s professionals.”
Prior to joining the Burrows, Auttonberry & Agol Investment Group at HilltopSecurities, Villarreal served with University Federal Credit Union and Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union, where he managed relationships with existing clients and prospected new business development opportunities in the region.
“ As a 5th generation Galvestonian, I’ m committed to seeing this region continue to prosper,” said Villarreal.“ HilltopSecurities offers the forthright advice and tailored solutions necessary to help area-professionals make smarter, more educated investments when planning for their futures.”
