COOKING CORNER A Recipe FROM JANE MCFADDIN Big and Hearty Casserole INGREDIENTS 1 lb. lean ground beef (I use ground sirloin) ¼ t garlic salt Salt and pepper to taste 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce Preheat oven to 350 degrees Cook egg noodles following directions on package. Rinse noodles in cold water and drain. While noodles are cooking, brown ground beef and add garlic salt and salt and pepper. Drain meat, then add tomato sauce and let simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. 1 (8 oz) package wide egg noodles, uncooked In another bowl, mix sour cream, cottage cheese and green onions together. ¾ C sour cream Add salt and pepper if desired. Add sour cream mixture to meat in skillet and mix well. 1 C small curd cottage cheese Place noodle and meat mixture in a 9 x 13” baking pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and top with shredded cheese. Bake 20-25 minutes. Let cool a bit before cutting. ½ C green onions, finely chopped 1 C sharp cheddar cheese, shred 8 INSTRUCTIONS MOMENTUM Serve with a green salad and it will have everyone coming back for more.
