RAISING YOUR VISIBILITY
Y
ou have joined the League City Regional
Chamber and, in my opinion, have made
a good choice for your business-- but now
what? How do you use your membership to
increase the visibility of your business?
After joining, your company name was announced
in our weekly Tell-U-Gram and MOMENTUM digital
magazine as a new Chamber member.
You were welcomed on our Facebook page
(@leaguecityregionalchamber), too, with a link to your
website, if available. At the monthly membership
luncheon, President and CEO Steve Paterson invited
new members to stand and be recognized, which
increases attention. Is that the end of the road? Not by a
long shot!
Members are invited to come to the Chamber office
and bring 10-15 business cards to display. Visitors and
fellow members often stop by to look for particular
businesses to contact. If you have brochures, you may
also drop a small stack for displaying, too. This goes for
long-standing members as well as new ones.
Many of our member businesses drop off 25-50
40
MOMENTUM
promotional items and we include one in each bag
given to the new member at their Ribbon Cutting.
There is nothing like the “old-fashioned” face-to-face
contact and you can certainly get that by attending
one of our many events during the month – Business
Building Breakfast, Lunch ‘N Learn, Ribbon Cuttings,
Monthly Membership Luncheon, EDC (Economic
Development Committee) Lunch, Coffee With the
President, and more. Be sure to bring a good stack
of your business cards with you at all events. These
events are chock-full of fellow members, business
professionals, and community leaders who enjoy
meeting you. Some networking etiquette will suggest
that you first ask the approached individual who they
are and what business they are in, followed by your
card and information. They may be a future customer of
yours or a valuable contact to share with an associate as
a referral.
Another option for increased interaction and
engagement with members is to have a Spotlight Table at
one of our luncheons. You can contact Jane McFaddin for
availability – [email protected].
Finally, ads and
sponsorships are a
premium avenue at which
to reach many. These put
you in a spotlight, either in
print, digital, or in person
at an event and can be
very affordable. There
is an ad opportunity for
MOMENTUM, our Thursday
Tell-U-Gram, and even on
our website. Sponsorships
are available for every
luncheon and special event
we hold.
In summary, there are a
so many ways to reach out
and let people know who
you are and what you do
and we hope you will take
advantage and MAXIMIZE
YOUR MEMBERSHIP with
the League City Chamber.
