Whether you want to host your wedding in a setting that is
historic, on the water, at a country club, in a ballroom or
under century old oak trees, you can find the perfect venue
in League City.
Every bride has an image in their mind of what their dream
wedding will look like long before the big day. Some even
well before they find their groom. That dream wedding is
easily created in League City. League City has all the
elements to achieve any brides dream with its Historic
District, parks and waterfront locations all offering different
options.
Finding a wedding and reception venue is often
challenging for the bride and groom. There are a number
of decisions to be made. The first decision is whether they
want a do-it-yourself (DIY) wedding and reception or to
avoid the stress and select a full service venue. Do they want
to do the wedding and reception at the same location or
get married in a Church and host the reception at another
venue? How many guests will be invited? What is the
budget? These are all key questions to be answered before
starting the search for the ideal venue.
wedding shows held during the year. Unfortunately none
of these sources are an all-inclusive list so I thought I might

If you are looking for a unique full service venue Butler’s
Courtyard is one to consider. Located in historic old
downtown, Butler's Courtyard is a one of a kind venue that
offers historic elegance with a hint of industrial chic. Now
in its sixteenth year it is recognized as one of the premiere
wedding venues in the Houston area. It is a full service
venue that features a full city block of picturesque
buildings and grounds. The Butler Building, built in 1909,
adds a historic charm that provides the setting for a one-
of-a-kind event. You can get more information at
www.ButlersCourtyard.com or by calling 281-557-5551.
Once these questions are answered it somewhat narrows
the choices. Next step is to start research. Most venues book
months in advance for peak wedding season months. In
Texas peak months are March, April, May and June in spring
and summer. September, October, November, and
December are peak months for fall. However even the off-
peak months at the most popular venues will have
Saturdays booked months out.
Research is best accomplished on Google, calling the
League City Regional Chamber of Commerce, going to
www.visitleaguecity.com, or by attending one of the several
