Presented By: The League City Proud Organization Holiday in the Park is a much anticipated Holiday festival right in the heart of League City, Texas. It started in 1997, with the idea to bring some holiday magic to League City! Holiday in the Park is presented by The League City Proud Organization. The mission is to kick off the holidays by creating a sense of community. The League City Proud Organization believes that League City is a very special place, therefore created this event so people of all ages in a diverse community can enjoy all the holiday traditions together in one place. Holiday in the Park has grown immensely over the years, as it offers a little something for everyone; three parades, food, shopping, entertainment, holiday movies, music, Santa and a lot more! Janice Hallisey, one of the founders of The League City Proud Organization, feels that this event is so special to them because they enjoy seeing the thousands of people that come out over the three day weekend to enjoy that small town charm. The event helps keep their traditions alive and foster community spirit and involvement. She has many stories that have evolved over the years that she loves sharing! Festivities begin Friday, November 30th at 5 pm and run all weekend until Sunday, December 2nd The whole weekend is kicked off Friday night with entertainment at 5:15 then followed by a family movie in the park at 6:30 with free hot chocolate for the kids. Saturday starts off at 9 am with plenty of shopping with local vendors, food trucks and festivities of the community. The Children’s Parade starts at 10am. The Grand Night parade, which is the largest parade in the entire county, starts at 6pm. Be sure to secure your parade watch spots early! The surrounding roads officially close at 5:30 pm! Sunday is a great day for families in the park! Be sure to make it out to the doggy costume contest and parade at 1 pm, shop the local vendors and swing by the food trucks for a fabulous afternoon lunch.
