exciting events. Among
them was his role as the
liaison for the Youth and
Philanthropy program,
helping to raise much
needed funds for High
School students in the Fort
Bend Independent School
District (FBISD).
Do you know what an
IOM designation stands
for? In January 2019,
Dewan successfully
completed the Institute of
Management Certification through the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce which helps him align the Chamber for
success implementing best practices and the highest
standards. In early July, Dewan stepped into the role
of our President/CEO where he looks to help promote
business excellence in League City and its surrounding
areas.
Dewan continues his community involvement efforts
and serve on multiple boards. He is a proud member
of The Church Without
Walls. He is a Team Lead
Usher and serves several
other leadership roles and
ministries at his church.
Dewan was able to help
create B.R.A.N.C.H.,a non-
profit geared toward helping
mentor teen boys. His
call to serve lead him to a
philanthropic community-
based organization called
Houston Mouves, hosting
some of the largest festivals
in Houston, Toy and
Backpack drives as well as
exclusive libation tastings.
Dewan has helped donate
over 1,000+ backpacks and school supplies to multiple
Title I schools in the Greater Houston Region.
Dewan also serves on the Board for the Langham
Creek Home Owner Association and The Together
Erasing Autism Foundation, as well as a mentor for the
Chauncy Glover Project and the Boys to Men program.
The Chamber is fortunate to have a person of this
caliber of business acumen and caring leading the
way.
