A Recipe From Jane McFaddin Cooking Corner With school starting very soon, life is going to get busier. Hamburger Soup is a great go-to dinner, either on the stove or in your crock pot. Hamburger Soup INGREDIENTS • 1 lb. extra lean ground beef – browned • 1 cup onion chopped (sautéed) • 1 cup celery chopped (optional) sautéed • 3 cups water • 1 large potato chopped or sliced • 1 cup carrots chopped or sliced • 1 cup corn kernels (frozen) • 28 oz can diced tomatoes • 1 t salt • ¼ t black pepper • 1 can beef or chicken broth 201 Enterprise Ave, #625 League City, TX 77573 832-871-4448 DIRECTIONS: Brown ground beef and sauté with onion and celery (drain). Add seasonings to taste., 3 cups water and diced tomatoes. Simmer and add vegetables. You can use fresh carrots, or you can use frozen mixed vegetables, add the beef or chicken broth.
