Big & Hearty Casserole
Ingredients
• 1 lb. lean ground beef (I use ground sirloin)
• ¼ t garlic salt
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
• 1 (8 oz) package wide egg noodles, uncooked
• ¾ C sour cream
• 1 C small curd cottage cheese
• ½ C green onions, finely chopped
• 1 C sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cook egg noodles following directions on package.
Rinse noodles in cold water and drain.
While noodles are cooking, brown ground beef and
add garlic salt and salt and pepper.
Drain meat, then add tomato sauce and let simmer
over low heat for 5 minutes.
In another bowl, mix sour cream, cottage cheese
and green onions together. add salt and pepper if
desired. Add sour cream mixture to meat in skillet
and mix well.

Place noodle and meat mixture in a 9 x 13” baking
pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and top
with shredded cheese. Bake 20-25 minutes. Let cool
a bit before cutting.
Serve with a green salad and it will have everyone
coming back for more.
