Recycled steel – an excellent example of sustainable and circular production.

Recycled steel is produced by melting down existing steel sourced from a variety of items such as old buildings, vehicles, machinery, household appliances, and even small metal scrap like cans and tools. The recycling process is both eco-friendly and energy-efficient compared to producing new steel from iron ore. It involves five steps: collection and sorting, processing, melting, refining, and reshaping. At Sagaform, we utilise this process for products like Tova & Ted.
With these sustainable materials and processes, Sagaform continues its commitment to creating timeless, thoughtful designs that leave a lighter footprint on the planet.

Why use rPET?

rPET stands for” Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate” – a termoplastic polymer commonly used in everyday products like beverage bottles and food packaging. rPET is simply recycled PET plastic, produced by repurposing used consumer PET items, primarily plastic bottles. The process involves collecting, crushing, and remelting these bottles to create new plastic materials. The recycled material is then used to make a variety of products, including bottles, packaging, textiles, and more. At Sagaform, we use rPET for our products such as Billi, Ture, Vide, and City.
