There are so many
wonderful aspects to being
a mother.
I am the oldest
of 7 children and my
initial plan was to not
have any of my own.
However, at the age of 25,
the most wonderful bundle
entered by life, changing
me and her father forever.
I love having had the
opportunity to raise a
strong, confident, loving
young woman who has
carved out a wonderful
career in the helping
field, and has given me a
precious grandson who is
now 9 years old.
Becoming a mother made
me realize that life is
precious and that I now
had an awesome responsibility.
Melody
taught me how to love deeper than I ever
thought possible.
She made me see things
through her eyes which enhanced my
understanding of the world in anew and
exiting way.
Becoming a grandmother has furthered
my development.
I realize now how little
I really did know then and now about
parenting.
The wonder of it is that I am
young enough to learn.

mother is watching
my adult daughter
grow up and
experience life in
her own unique
way. The way I’ve
lived my life may
sometimes be

I know that I’ve
raised her to know
right from wrong so
the rest is totally
up to her.
