Hey Girls, I have been thinking a lot about friendship over the past week and what it means to me. I used to think friendship was about loving (and hating) the same things, texting till all hours of the night, hanging out on weekends and being there for each other when things are great and when they are tough. And you know what, it is all of those things but it is also about challenging one another and being willing to be honest when you need to be, even if that is hard. It is also about being OK with having different opinions, it’s OK to argue sometimes without it meaning THE END. I have a number of friends, I have my bestie who truly is the BEST, I have other friends who I play sport with, another group I meditate with and some who I only see once or twice a year. They each provide me with different things but there is one thing common to all of these friendships - they all allow me to be ME, no pretending, no fakeness - just warts and all ME and that’s what I think true friendship is all about.
