7 day challenge
It amazes me how little it takes for me
to feel good about myself. There are
moments in my life where something very
small shuts up the negative voice in my
head and I feel gorgeous and happy.
Otherwise create your own list and start
working through it.
It hit me recently as a result of one
relatively small action. I got my nails
done. Yep, a half hour in a nail salon and
a little bit of polish and I am walking
taller, smiling more and feeling fabulous!
Who would have thought it could be that
simple. And you know what, I don’t think
it is really about my finger nails. I think
it is about thinking that I am important
enough in the first place to take the time
to go and do something for me. It is about
having someone else on the other side
of a counter carefully shaping my nails,
moisturising my hands and applying
polish with great care. It is about taking
care of myself.
Put on some great music (must be turned
up loud) and dance around the house.
I have been looking at what other actions
I could take to have me experience this
feeling on a regular basis, perhaps even
daily!!! Here are some of my ideas but
you might find they work for you as well.
Call a friend and go out for lunch or
somewhere nice for a hot chocolate and
cake (the cake bit is very important!)
Have a very long bubble bath
Have a manicure or pedicure or maybe
even a facial
Pay your little brother or sister to wait on
you for a whole day
Feeling beautiful and great about yourself
can be simple. It is just about finding what
does it for you.

action every single day. And
I mean every single day. Let
