What do you do on Valentine’s Day? Are you one of those girls who likes to celebrate their relationship with their boyfriend? Are you one of those who laugh this off as a clichéd joke? Some people think that they don’t need a special occasion to celebrate and express their love. Fair enough. Whichever the case, Valentine’s Day, despite all the craze that goes around it, is simply a celebration of love. Why would you miss a chance to allow yourself a special moment to reflect on the love in your life and be grateful for it? It’s also about your friends and letting them know that you care about them. It’s a day that you can be free to say I love you to whomever you like, especially YOU. If you are single, celebrate how much you love yourself, remember how awesome you are. Play that upbeat track you like so much and dance alone in your room. Paint, sing, dance, whatever makes you feel good. You may choose to treat it as any other day. It may pass without you even noticing. All that matters is for you to feel truly comfortable with your decisions. You are never cornered by circumstances, you have choices. Even doing nothing is a valid choice, if you feel like it. You can forget about the 14th of February, but never forget about love. If you are in a relationship and it’s going well, plan something creative for the two of you, go on a special date. If you feel brave enough, you can exchange gifts that you’ve made yourselves, or just spend the day enjoying each other’s company, talking endlessly or hanging out in silence. It all depends on the two of you. Happy Valentine’s Day! ~ Kimberly
