On May 25 this year, a 13 year-old Indian
girl, from a poor family of farmers, became
the youngest person to climb Mt Everest.
her - “I got some fear and immediately I
remember my secretary, my parents … and
I got my courage and strength, energy,”
Malavath Poorna, lives in a small village
and learned how to climb at school.
Malavath has proven to the world that no
matter where you come from, how much
(or little) money you have, you can reach
the top fof the world - you just need to be
willing to give it a go!
This is an incredibly tough climb for
even the most experienced and the
challenges are not just the intense cold,
the uncomfortable sleeping and the pretty
crappy food. Having to face the bodies
of six people who had failed the climb
before her was the most terrifying part for
Malavath. But that wasn’t going to stop
What do you dream of doing?
What’s stopping you?
Reach for the moon girls, if you don’t make
it you will still land amongst the stars!!
