TAMALE MAKING 101 Instructor: Linda Mar nez Tamale making has been a holiday tradi on for many years and it is our pleasure to once again offer a class in how they're prepared. During this four‐hour workshop students will be guided through the en re process of making tamales and crea ng their own Holiday tradi on. You'll learn the beginning steps of preparing the “masa” to stuffing with meat, to rolling the “oja" and then cooking tamales to perfec on. If you don’t understand some of these words, come to class and learn what it is all about! Par cipants must prepare their own favorite pot roast and bring it to class with them along with all remaining broth in a container ‐ broth will be used in class. They must also bring a blender, knife, small cu ng board and large and medium spoons. All other ingredients and necessary supplies will be provided for at class. The stated class me could be longer if necessary.
