One key element of this workshop was that , event though it followed a darker theme , the goal was to portray that theme with the natural surroundings of the cemetery . Like many other cemeteries , the Brady Hill Cemetery of Saginaw , MI provides a host of unique seongs that , depending upon angles and direcBon , can highlight the tombstones and mausoleum , or may not seem like you are p h o t o g r a p h i n g i n a cemetery at all .
In this case , the workshop escaped the use of smoke and mirror effects – blood and gore ; heavier smoke than an old rock concert , body parts – which may not be the case with the zombie apocalypse scheduled in August in Saginaw , MI .
In every workshop , the goal is to challenge the adending photographers and models to work a lidle outside of their comfort zone . Some of the challenges that were faced by photographers at Brady
Hill included constant lighBng changes based on natural sunlight , clouds , and light challenges presented by changing posiBons or locaBons .
Photographers were also challenged with the locaBon of runaway gear ( usually a lenscap or two ), and a brave hedgehog that made it clear that , even if he didn ’ t own the locaBon , he was at least the manager . For Sai , her natural modeling ability made this seem like just another day on the hunt .
