Julie Stanley : A Forgotten AfFair

For Ohio photographer Julie Stanley , her camera allows her to create art through the camera ’ s lens .
“ My art is capturing the art of others under the perfect light .,” Stanley explained , adding that her love for modeling grew into a career in beauty , fashion and commercial photography . “ By the age of 30 I had work published in Vogue , Lucky , Allure and InStyle magazines .”
Stanley , who has more that a decade of experience working with one of the largest commercial studios in Cleveland , submided the following arBsBc composiBon that sBrs our imaginaBon , and shares her visual beauty .
“ The concept was a collaboraBon between myself and the hair stylist Brad
Lewis ,” she said . “ Carnivals and fairs come into town and then they ' re gone ... and we always think about the fun and games and treats ... not the abandoned parking lot with le \ over remnants floaBng around in the end of summer wind .”
The general candy idea evolved into a story about le \ over fair treats , Stanley explained .
“ Why were they le \ behind ? This brings us to the Btle " A Forgoden AfFair ". Candy Couture and her friends were forgoden , along with deflated balloons , torn posters and half eaten candy apples washing away in the rain or dropped off by the dumpster ...”
