Beginning with the business name, AFRNT (which stands for All For Reaching New Talent), bRandy explains that it is a mission-oriented business, rather than a sales or retail-driven model.
Described by Randy as a store that is meant to be inspirational rather than traditional, his brand has seen the growth and delopment of local clothing and jewelry designers; models who have started their careers among the pages of his catalogs; photographers who have developed their skiils by shooting his products; and local customers who have experienced the joy and beauty of donning apparel that means something beyong the cost and feel of the fabric.
The following message, submitted to Randy's AFRNT Blog, demonstrates the positve power that his brand is offering to the world:
"A message for Randy. Everybody needs inspiration. Some days the inspiration doesn't flow from inside of you and you look to other people to help lift you up. I just wanted to let you know that through your actions and words you and AFRNT have been that for me. It started with winning that silly picture contest that I won by default, but it made me feel really good.
After that I felt a little stronger and was like "what else can I do?" Well as of today it's been 59 days since I've smoked a cigarette. Might sound small but for me, HUGE! All this is snowballing into good and awesome things. I started running a few weeks ago, because I can breathe, I can breathe for the 1st time in I don't know how many years. Not just running either, I'm training for a 5k and actually going to do the 5k Zombie Run in Traverse City on 10/26. I'm losing weight because I'm running.
Quitting smoking is the biggest accomplishment so far, but after you posted your post from July 14th, I've made bigger steps. I decided I'm going back to school and actually signed up for classes and made arrangements with work to go! I think we all have it in us, sometimes it just takes people like you to bring it out! Thank you for all you do."
