Caskers.com Sells Out of Garrison Brothers Single Barrel Bourbon
in Under 12 Hours
Winner of the Whiskey Bible’s 2014 Micro Whiskey of the Year award
and the first legal whiskey distillery out of Texas, Garrison Brothers
Bourbon Whiskey introduced their single barrel bourbon, sold by
the barrel, earlier this year to Texas and then the nation and the
response has been huge. Buyers were (are) invited to the ranch
in Hye, Texas to taste from the 342 barrels to decide which they
would purchase, each barrel yielding anywhere between 48 and 81
bottles depending on the angel’s share of the barrel. Now, only 99
barrels remain, one of which, yielding 51 bottles, went to Caskers.
com, the nation’s best online distributor of artisanal craft spirits.
Every bottle is designed with a silver star on the bottle face and
includes a customizable silver label with the buyer’s name, in this
case reading “Hand-selected by Master Distiller Donnis Todd for
Caskers Members.” Ranging from $5,300 to $8,900 and at around
$100 a bottle, each barrel takes 4 weeks to 4 months from the time
the reservation is placed so those who were lucky enough to purchase through Caskers.com in those hours are the only bottle holders through Caskers.com for at least a few more months, pending
barrel availability.
The Single Barrel Bourbon from Garrison Brothers is a three-yearold, 94-proof big brother to its flagship Garrison Brothers Texas
Straight Bourbon Whiskey and just like its predecessor, it is made
from organic Panhandle corn, soft red winter wheat, two-row malted barley and pure, clean Hill Country rainwater.
