It is not uncommon to come across women in high powered and decision making positions. There are no religious or cultural barriers to shaking hands and having conversations with the opposite gender. In Asia hierarchical ranking is important. Start by introducing the most senior person of your company by their titles. Handshakes are common business practice. Asian handshakes are usually softer than in the West. They also may last longer. It’s considered affectionate and is a good sign if your host holds your hand a little longer while introducing themselves. Asian humility may prevent your hos
