The Thinker ’ s Diet

This article provides a diet to live for , not die for .
The most valuable real estate on earth is between your ears .
The most dangerous weight is on your shoulders .
I ’ ve developed my own diet to keep stress down and my spirits up . I call it the Thinker ’ s Diet , or How to Take the Weight of the World Off Your Shoulders .
Pray for happiness . Prayer works . I pray for health , wealth , and happiness . I talk to God when I pray . I listen to God when I meditate . I look for signs from God . To me , coincidence is just God ’ s way of staying anonymous . The power of prayer is well documented
as a healer . Prayer in many cases precedes the cure . As for thinking , I pray for good thoughts . And I thank God for everything . I even thank God for God .
Keep what ’ s important , important . There ’ s a big difference between a lump in your cereal and a lump in your breast . It ’ s okay to want success and things as long as you know most of the stuff ( money , fame , etc .) is meaningless . I still haven ’ t seen a hearse with a U-Haul behind it .
Have a schedule . The brain loves a map . “ Life is what happens while you ’ re making other plans ,” John Lennon sang . But a schedule or action plan gives you a sense of control , and that cuts
Be passionate . Work and play demand all you ’ ve got and when you lose yourself in the experience of life , you gain control and feel very happy . Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi , author of the well-known book Flow , describes the word ‘ happy ’ as the optimal state of inner harmony when all thoughts , feelings , senses , and actions are focused on the same goal . The process becomes so much more important than the outcome , so incredible , in fact , that the activity feels spontaneous and automatic . It ’ s a state of bliss brought on by a passionate flow .
Be your authentic self . Only one of you has been made and for a very good reason . The world isn ’ t finished yet , and we need you . Being your authentic self will allow your brain to expand exponentially . The only thing more important is to be okay with your authentic self . Creating yourself will lead to true happiness .
Exercise your body . I jump rope three times a week . Ten minutes of skipping rope can equal a 30-minute run . It elevates your heart rate and is good for your head as well . If you want to learn the ropes to happiness , buy a jump rope . Remember , exercise
