SCHOEMAN’ S SECOND WIND

He stood on the Olympic podium in 2016 and won Commonwealth Games gold in 2018, is a five-time African champion and won the Arena Games Triathlon Series as recently as 2023. But after two tough years dealing with injury, illness and a loss of form, Schoeman is finally finding his feet again. A second straight win at the IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu in the Philippines has given the 34-year-old a muchneeded boost, with a fourth Olympic Games in Los Angeles and a long-course world title now firmly back on his radar.
