Ma Advertorial New Year, New You with In order to gain insight into how runners set goals and objectives, and to better understand people’s motivations, TomTom conducted market research with keen runners across the globe. The results showed that those runners using technology were clearly seeing the benefits in their training and racing performances. T owards the end of 2014, TomTom randomly selected 1,022 runners from the UK, US, France and Germany and asked them a series of questions about their running habits. The survey targeted both male and female runners (50:50 ratio) between the ages of 25 and 50 years old, all of whom run at least once a week, and these were some of the key research findings: • • •
