Modern Athlete is proud to be the official print magazine
partner of the Comrades Marathon, and with more than half
the 23,000 entries for the 90th running of the world’s biggest
ultra-marathon already taken, prospective Comrades runners
are urged to get their entries in quickly. – BY SEAN FALCONER

E

ntries for the 2015 Comrades Marathon opened on 1 September
2014 and within a month more than half of the 23,000 available spots
had been snapped up as excitement ahead of the 90th edition of ‘The
Ultimate Human Race’ began to pick up momentum. The race will take
place on Sunday 31 May, and being an ‘Up Run,’ will start outside the
Durban City Hall at 5:30am and end 12 hours later at the Oval Cricket
Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
Prospective entrants have until 30 November, or as soon as the cap of
23,000 entries has been reached, to get their entries in. Thereafter, no
further entries will be accepted, so runners are urged to enter as soon as
possible or risk missing
