WHY GO
If you’re keen to mix up a bit of beach with your regular
berg runs, there is no better place than Hermanus. This
scenic area brims with rugged mountain ranges and
many miles of deserted beach, thus making it a superb
destination for anyone in search of a variety of trails to
run along.
GRADING: Moderate to difficult.
CONFIGURATION: Various return or circular options,
from 5km to 60km.
ACCESS: Free, but please make a donation.
TRAIL MARKINGS: Some trail markings on wooden
stakes.
CELL RECEPTION: Yes, except behind mountain at
furthest point.
BEWARE: Watch out for fog.
WHAT YOU GET
The 1000ha Walker Bay Nature Reserve stretches from
the Klein River estuary to De Kelders at Gansbaai, and
immediately inland you will find the 1800ha Fernkloof
