TATS parkrun SA S your area parkruns in Dusi parkrun, Pietermaritzburg www.facebook.com/dusiparkrun Twitter: @dusiparkrun Dusi parkrun starts and finishes at the Natal Canoe Club, on the banks of Camps Drift in the heart of Pietermaritzburg. This is one of the oldest, proudest canoe clubs in SA, and the canoeists are regulars at the Saturday morning parkrun, using it as part of their training for the Dusi Canoe Marathon. The setting is relaxed and beautiful, especially on the mornings when there is a little fog above the river. We have even had the privilege of two fish eagles making their presence felt on occasions. Images: Gill Fordyce The course is easy and this makes it attractive to even the most sociable, so we now have over 1000 registered runners and it is amazing to see the broad spectrum of those that attend, often with dogs on a leash or little ones in jogger prams. A regular attendee is 81-year-old Mike Arbuthnot, who has swum all 40 Midmar Mile events and has completed 80 Midmar Mile swims in total!
