The Gauteng Marathon is here and what better way to kick-off the spring race calendar! Here’s some info to keep in mind on race day.

REGISTRATION
Race number collection will take place at Pilditch Stadium on 4 September from 9am to 6pm and Johannesburg Stadium on 5 to 7 September from 9am to 6pm. All pre-entrants will receive a T-shirt and bag at registration. No race numbers can be collected on race day, apart from late entries in the 10km event, which may be collected between 5am and 6:30am.
BUS TICKET AND DEPARTURE INFO
WATER POINTS
Bus tickets are purchased as part of the entry process. Subject to availability, extra bus tickets may be available for sale on registration days. Only race entrants with a purchased ticket will be allowed on the buses on race day. The buses will depart as follows: • To 42km & 21km starts: Leaving Johannesburg Stadium from 4am, last bus at 4:30am. • After the event, the ?rst bus will depart to the parking at the start points from 8am. • The last bus will depart from the ?nish at 2pm.
42km: Points will be dotted every 3km until the 30km mark. After that they will be 2km apart. 21km: Points will be every 3km until 9km, and thereafter every 2km. 10km: There will be three water points, spaced every 3km.

Tog bags can be dropped off at Johannesburg Stadium or at the starting points for the 42km and 21km. They will be delivered to the ?nish for collection after your race (from 7:45am). The tog bag area is used at your own risk. There will be a kids’ jumping castle and entertainment at the ?nish, together with live music, food and refreshments. Prize-giving will take place at 10am.
