Scenes in the Barracks
The Italian Club in Bedfordview is the ‘ barracks ’ of the Spartan Baby Badass Ultra , and at times it looks more like a war zone than an ordered military base . Camping beds and chairs , sleeping bags and blankets , cooler boxes filled with food and energy drinks , and amongst all this chaos , runners trying to catch a few winks in between trying to do their 24 loops in 24 hours , each one starting on the hour with the ringing of a cowbell .
