The Experience : While the Swartberg Mountains provide a stunning setting for four days of running at the Dryland Traverse , it ’ s hard not to talk about the prologue , which includes a short but spectacular section through the famous Cango Caves . This is a unique running experience that no other event in South Africa offers , and starts what is always a spectacular event on a high note . ( The dress-up themed Saturday night party , a . k . a . stage 3.1 , is another real highlight of this four-day adventure .)
